Physics -- Peer Teaching
Mark Hespenheide

While the basic laws of physics have not changed in the last few decades (at least not at the level that they are studied in high school), materials or media that are more than a few years old can be distracting to students. Although the content can still be perfectly applicable, the shell of narration and story quickly becomes a focal point rather than the information. Students will investigate, research, design, and implement new media that is both current and accurate.

Big Idea: Education

The Essential Question: How can a group of students present information to their peers and to successive classes and/or the larger world?

Guiding Questions: How do students learn? How do students learn best? How do different students learn different topics? What combination of text, images, and moving pictures are a good combination of presenting information?

Guiding Activities:
..presentation of multiple modes of teaching; quiz and reflection
..script-writing
..fact-checking/peer-editing
..photography
..filming
..animation
..editing and publishing
..plan for updates?
